Money vs Memories…

Does more money really make us happier? I’ve thought about this over the past several years now and I’ve decided that it doesn’t. I firmly believe that as long as we’re able to live within our means and not overstretch our own financial comfort zone happiness is very achievable. That’s not to say I believe you should be satisfied with the same position for your entire lifetime or be comfortable with minimum wage.  But I think that most people seem to be placing careers over family. Or deciding to wait to start a family until some day down the road when some imaginary milestone has been achieved. Sure there are benefits to waiting for a long time to have kids. You can buy every conceivable contraption, gizmo, gadget, and toy! You’ll also be able to afford extravagant vacations and a luxurious SVU or crossover. While all that sounds pretty amazing to most people, does it make the people who have all that happier? Does it make them raise better children? I’d have to disagree.
